Broad-winged Hawk

I had the fantastic opportunity to photograph a Broad-winged Hawk that lives at the science and nature center near my home.  This center houses previously-injured raptors that can no longer survive in the wild.  The Broad-winged Hawk is a more recent addition to the center and the first bird to live there that would typically migrate during the winter.  The staff there does a fantastic job of caring for all the birds and of educating the public.  Here are some of the photos from that day.
